Kaaya’s 25th Midnight Surprise

It was midnight. While Kaaya was asleep, there was movement in the rest of the house… of course, it was for Kaaya’s 25th birthday.

Kriya had instructed everyone not to ring the bell. She even left a note by it:
"Whoever rings the bell rings for its death… Shhh. Do Not Ring The Bell."

Kaaya’s friends had flown in from different cities to celebrate her special day. Everyone silently gathered in her room, waiting patiently for the clock to strike 12. Ten seconds were left. Akaay switched on the light, breaking Kaaya’s sleep. She woke up, irritated, and before she could react, everyone shouted in unison:

"Happy 25th, Kaay!!!"

Kaaya thought she was dreaming and threw her face back into the bed. Akaay pinched her leg, bringing her to her senses. She was stunned to see Kunal, Sapna, Dodo, Ana, and Prayag there while Gautami was busy filming their reactions.

Everyone wished her a happy birthday. She blew out the candles and cut the cake. Soon, they asked her to get ready because they were heading out to celebrate. Outside, the group split into pairs:
Kunal, Dodo, Ana, and Gautami
Prayag and Sapna
Akaay and Kriya

Meanwhile, Nimish sat patiently on the couch, waiting for Kaaya. When she finally came out, everyone was stunned. Nimish and Akaay stared at her, jaws dropping. Kriya smirked and pinched Akaay.

They all headed to a rooftop venue. Over food and music, they introduced themselves more informally, gossiped, and laughed. The rooftop was Kriya’s choice she had even arranged for a live musical group to perform, making the night extra special. 

As they lost themselves in conversations, a special announcement was made:

"Dear Kaaya, it’s been an amazing day. To make it even more special, we have a request from Nimish, who would like to sing a song for you!"

Everyone turned in surprise. Kaaya, blushing, turned red. Nimish stepped forward. His voice sounded nervous at first, but magic filled the atmosphere as soon as he began singing.

While everyone was touched by Nimish’s gesture, teasing Kaaya, Akaay grew restless. Kriya noticed his clenched fist, his shaking leg, and the way his eyes stayed locked on Kaaya, who looked delighted by the song. She reached out to hold his hand, but he suddenly stood up and walked toward Nimish.

Prayag instinctively got up to follow, but Kunal grabbed his hand and whispered for him to stay calm. Just as Nimish prepared to sing the next verse, Akaay took the stage and began to sing instead

Kriya felt embarrassed. The entire group was left stunned in silence. To relax the mood Gautami insisted everyone to hit dance floor. Kaaya was forced to dance with others. Kriya drank little too much she angrily turned to Kaaya. Kriya got overly drunk and blurted out her suppressed feelings to Kaaya, "Kaaya, don’t linger around him! He’s mine he always has been MINE, YOU TWO-FACED BITCH. Why don’t you just decide to be with Nimish? He’s a great guy. Just spare my Akaay.

Kaaya stood frozen in shock she couldn't have imagined Kriya having this hate for her...
