Kaaya Or Kriya

It's been almost 8 months since Kaaya shifted to Bangalore. Kaaya and Kriya now happened to be bosom buddies. For Kriya kaaya had become part of her soul as in there are two bodies but one soul. Kriya relied much on Kaaya. Kaaya had got Kriya's back. However, she was not yet emotionally involved. Her heartbreak shielded her heart into many layers, and it's really difficult for her to let someone in, especially when Kriya's name reminds her of her bitter past. Yet, Kaaya managed to trust Kriya and become friends with her. 

Kriya's birthday was ahead in 15 days. Kaaya was excited for her first friend's birthday but alas Kaaya's call for submissions schedule was out and it were over her head. She could not go outside and celebrate Kriya's birthday; however, she managed to arrange a surprise throw at home with her sister Raashi. Raashi and kaaya managed to invite Kriya's all friends and acquaintances. One night before the birthday Kaaya, their house maid Maasi maa and Raashi (Kriya's sister) did all the decorations and necessary arrangements. Now everything was set for Kriya's birthday bash. Kriya's friends silently managed to come inside home and they all were patiently waiting for 12am. 

They all came inside Kriya's room and sharp at 12am Kriya's sister woke her up and to her suprise everyone shouted HAPPY BIRTHDAY KRI, birthday bombs were blasted and everyone was hurray-ing and singing happy birthday song for Kriya. She was all into tears and smiling looking at Kaaya as she rightly guessed it was her idea. Everyone came outside in hall to celebrate. Kriya was stunned looking at the decorations and was mesmerised looking at the portraits and sticked pictures on the wall by her sister. She fingered on the portraits and pictures meanwhile cake and everything was arranged. Raashi called Kriya for cake cutting. While Kriya was all set to cut the cake to everyone's surprise someone covered Kriya's eyes and whispered into her ears "happy birthday love" and gave her a kiss on cheek. 

Kriya opened her eyes and was all surprised to see Akaay behind and his friends standing in front of her. She excitedly hugged Akaay and exclaimed, "OH MY GOD, I cannot believe you really have come for my birthday Akku. I thought you're busy with the conference." Akaay said "how would I not come for my beloved girl's birthday, it won't happen everyday right." Kriya greeted Akaay's friends while Raashi reminded Kriya to cut the cake as everyone was waiting. Kriya called for kaaya who was standing at the back to come stand next to her. While everyone made passage for Kaaya there was a shocking eye contact happened between Kaaya and Akaay, both were surprised to find each other there. Akaay's friends stood in shock to saw Kaaya at that time. None uttered a single word and Kaaya rushed to cake cutting. Everyone sang happy birthday again and Kriya cut the cake. She took cake piece and moved her hands to feed Akaay. After cake cutting everyone got busy introducing each other as there were Kriya's school friends, college peers, her colleagues and everyone was gathered under one roof.  

Kriya introduced Akaay to everyone. Then she held Akaay's hand and took him to Kaaya. Kaaya was busy arranging food platters for everyone and upon call she looked up to her notice she saw Kriya holding Akaay's hand her breath choked for a second. However, she got hold of her emotions and smiled at both of them. Akaay abruptly freed his hand. Kriya introduced Akaay to her, "Kaaya you always asked about who's that special person right, you always wanted to meet Akku so here's him, meet Akku, I mean Akaay. And Akaay meet my roomate Kaaya, my soulmate, my buddy." Both of them greet each other. The moment was witnessed with awkward silence and Kriya interrupted the silence, "guys I know you both are meeting for the first time atleast exchange few words."
In the background Raj(Akaay's friend) while mysteriously smirked and said "first time, haha yeah first time right." He raise concern to other peers Akaay was gone for good, his past and present were standing right in front of him, saying out loud "world really is small" he interfered, forcefully introduced himself and Akaay's other friends. Akaay broke silence and said "I'm pleased to meet you Kaaya, I always heard alot about you from Kriya and no wonder you're exactly what she had told me about you." Kaaya nodded her head in agreement and she again focused on arranging food platters however, tears dropped from her eyes. Maasi maa notices it however, she didn't say anything and only patted Kaaya's back. 
Raashi had been envying Akaay since beginning and somewhat it won't be inappropriate to say that she hated Akaay. She intentionally spilled juice over Akaay. Akaay had to use kaaya's washroom as Kriya's room was occupied by other guests. Akaay followed Kriya to Kaaya's room. Meanwhile Kaaya, Rashi conversate with Akaay's friends. 
Raj is all happy to meet Kaaya and says to her, "after a long time, it's amazing to meet you again." Shriya (wife of Jeet, Akaay's second friend) said to Kriya, "You're so much like Kriya that anyone will misunderstand you for her. At first instance I misunderstood you for Kriya. You really got a bright and affectionate smile Kaaya. I'm...." Jeet held Shriya's hand asking her to shut up. Tears fell from Kaaya's eyes. Kaaya was all hurt to hear such comment from her and she asked Akaay's friends, "Am I so much like her? Really? No wonder your friend tried to find her in me. I told you know I was right about your friend, I was right since start. It was all her HER, ALL THOSE TIME, IT WAS HER." After saying this she excused herself from the celebration and went outside crying. 
Raj and Jeet were all worried about Kaaya and they rushed to informed Akaay about the thing happened. Akaay and Kriya were into disagreement over Raashi's deliberate actions to let Akaay down. Jeet interrupted their conversation and told Akaay in private what happened. Upon hearing Akaay all worried ran behind Kaaya but to his surprise she was gone. He tried following her till the building entrance but she wasn't seen. Akaay was all worried. 
But why was Kaaya bothered with the comments received? Why was Akaay worried for the girl he met just hours back? Was it really Akaay and Kaaya's first meet or they know eachother from before?
