Cafe Giggles - One

A month passed as Kaya's University began. Before that, Kaaya had gone to the University 2-3 times to explore all possible transport to reach her University. One such day, she was entering university. It was raining cats and dogs, and it was all messy to walk while holding an umbrella. Kaaya couldn't look straight. One person approached Kaaya and said, "Hi, excuse me, I'm looking for the Department of Psychology. Could you please help me with the directions?" Kaaya was irritated by the rain and, with troubled looks, looked at the guy. She happened to judge this guy, but she had to answer, "Hi, I am sorry, mister, but I'm new in this university, and I'm not well acquainted with the departments." Saying this, she headed in a rush without hearing the guy's response. The guy shouted from behind, "Oh okay, no worries, thank you." Kaaya raised her hand, gave him a thumbs up, and continued walking straight to her department. 

Kaaya returned to her room in the evening, and Kriya had fried some snacks for her. "Welcome home, roomie; how was your day? She answered her own question, saying, "It must have been great only, come on, have some fries. Sorry, but I heard your phone conversation with your friend as to how you're missing them and chatting over a cup of coffee, Maggi and fries, so I had to make this to make you feel homely here as well. Ghar se door ye bhi abhi tera ghar hai ki and kaa(she calls kaaya by this nickname)." Kaaya blushed and said, "Thank you Kri, that's so considerate of you. Yes, I was missing my friends. Let me just get fresh. I'll join you in a few minutes. Let's watch your favourite series over Bites," Kriya replied, "sounds great, come hurry,, I'm waiting." Kaaya got fresh hit the couch, and relaxed with Kriya. As they were watching the show, Kriya's phone rang. Kaaya was unknowingly sitting on Kriya's phone and this made them laugh. Kaaya passed Kriya's phone but she happened to read the name. She said, "Some Akku is calling." Kriya shushed Kaaya and hinted that she'll be back in sometime. 
After almost an hour Kriya returned and told Kaaya to get ready. Kaaya was tired of moving out, but upon Kriya's insistence, she moved to change. "Where are we heading Kri?" Kriya said, "You just get ready and wear something nice. We're going to explore the nearest mall, and my friend has suggested a good cafe, so we're going there. Let's meet in 30 minutes." "Okay, captain", Kaaya replied. Both Kriya and Kaaya left and headed to the mall. They were cluelessly roaming around the mall, and Kriya suggested Kaaya to shop for necessary items for her University. So they ended up doing some shopping for Kaaya and left for the cafe. While they were in the auto Kriya initiated the conversation, "So Ki and Kaa how are you finding Banglore, let me guess you're falling in love with Banglore right, no wait, you're missing home, your friends and about to go back, or you're .... " Kaaya said sarcastically, "Bhai muze kuch bolne degi ya sab khud hi bolegi. Sawal puchke jawab bhi khud hi bata deti aise kaise. Kriya smiled awkwardly and listened to what Kaaya was saying, "Banglore is free, I feel free. I'm not a fan of crowds, but I'm adjusting. I don't feel like going out much but you always take me out. Yes, surely I'm missing my home, Aai Baba and my friends, but it's a matter of a few years, and I'll go back to them soonest. I like Bangalore. But anyways you tell me more about the place we're going, you said it's famous and heart of people" Kriya grabbed Kaaya's hand tightly and said, "Well tuze yaha se bghna hai to bhi me tuze nahi kahi jaane de rahi. And this place we're heading, I don't know much about it, but Akku has suggested me." "AKKU?" Kaaya, with a question mark on her face, said. "Akku is my special friend, my soulmate, nothing to be kept hidden from you but he's my better half." To which Kaaya teases Kriya. Both laughed, and after some time, they reached this cafe.

They read the name of the cafe, "Giggles", and it brought a smile to their face. Upon entering Kaaya fell in love with the ambience of the cafe. It was a nature and book-themed cafe with a touch of art. "Aesthetic, isn't it?" Kriya said. "Very much" Kaaya replied. "Look, ki and kaa, there's a big mirror. Let's take a mirror selfie now." They snapped a few pictures, and they found a table and went there. They ordered their food. Everything in the cafe was unique. They had kept a handcrafted piece like a bullock cart in which the menu was placed. They had placed a bell to call staff for any assistance or service. It was so nice. The food was delivered and both girls enjoyed the food at the window side. The cold breeze brought chills and the windchimes tinkled. Kaaya liked windchimes and she was all involved in the cafe. 
Girls had finished their food and were waiting for dessert; Kriya said, "Kaaya, I'm absolutely in love with the cafe and the food. But there's something more to it, guess what? Wait, lemme spill it for you. They have musical gigs every month end, and it happened to be month end, so we'll be blessed with the musical retreat as well!!!" "Wow, that's great, Kri. When will it start?" While the girls were conversing, there was an announcement made, "Attention folks, to fill the giggly evening, I call upon the most awaited guy, but put your hands together and let's welcome Ray!!! Ray, please come to the floor." Everyone celebrated Ray. The girls were sitting at a distance from the floor, so they couldn't see the guy; meanwhile, dessert arrived. The guy started singing a Telugu song,

The guy's voice was so appealing to Kaaya and he happened to sing her favourite song. Kaaya instantly turned her back and told Kriya, "It's my favourite song; I wanna enjoy it. I'm going ahead. Do you wanna join?" Before Kriya could answer, her phone rang, and she asked Kaaya to go ahead and she'll join her in a few minutes. Kaaya got up from her place and went towards the floor. Kaaya stood up and she was moving forward, finding the way from the surrounding crowd to have a better look at the singer but before she could reach the front Kriya pulled her backwards and said, "Sorry Ki and Kaa but we have to go home soonest, my sister has arrived at our place and she is not having keys we gotta go otherwise I'm dead." Kaaya wanted to stay there long, and she looked again at the floor with an upset face; Kriya noticed that and said, "I'm sorry babe, but we'll come here again, Abhi jaldi chalte hai; I've paid the bill, and let's go." She had already brought both their bags, and they rushed out of the cafe in a hurry. 

Kaaya was a little upset as she was too moved by the guy's voice. She decided to visit the cafe at next month's end. 
Let's see if Kaaya could meet this musical guy again...
