Diwali

The festival of lights, joys, faral was started. Everywhere everyone seemed to be happiest, with all their enthusiasm they were busy carrying shopping bags filled with lots of new clothes, sweets and namkeens, firecrackers, lights, diyas. The children were all excited to try their new clothes and the time when they would lit firecrackers. Ladies were busy decorating houses and preparing sweets and faral. Men were busy carrying out cleaning in the house.

But there were 4-5 children on the roadside who were keenly and  curiously observing them, and, they all wondered what's happening around them. Why everyone seemed to be happy? And why everyone was coming out of malls and shops carrying these many bags filled with so many things and why they had bright smiles on their faces? Why children of their age were jumping around their parents happily and thanking them for the gifts they brought? Everything was amazing and beautiful but new to them.

It was the day first day of Diwali everywhere lights and diyas were lit. Everyone wore new clothes and greeting each other happily and was sharing sweets and namkeens (faral) and getting the same in return.  But the children by roadside, again, didn't understand why everyone was wearing such good clothes. They were curious to know what all did they share. One of them, very innocently, went to one of a lady and asked her what's there in those bags, the lady looked at them, seeing them wearing untidy, tore clothes she shooed them away angrily and insulted saying not to ruin their festival. Another family who was beside them saw this thing happening and from that family, a boy nearly aged 5 same as of those children ran towards the boy and gave him one bag having Faral and firecrackers. The roadside boy hesitated first but later, after insistence he took that and happily opened it. He was amazed by looking so many varieties of food and he asked why all these people are sharing? The boy's mother smiled and replied, "it's the festival of lights and joy is going on where everyone forgetting everything (ego, enmity) come together and celebrate this festival". The boy said but earlier the lady shooed me away saying that I was ruining her festival, then why you all are celebrating it with me sharing these many food items and crackers? The boy's grandparents laughed and told the kid, " you're like our grandson and by sharing our happiness with everyone it increases and adds up your joy". The boy was all happy listening to what all grandparents told. He carried other bags with him for his friends and told them to share this happiness with others.....

The Festival of light tells us to spread light in those people lives whose lives are filled with darkness. By sharing Faral to poors we are stepping into the world where everyone cares for everyone. No one will get less if they share their joys with poors it'll rather increase and will give you feeling of satisfaction.

Wish you all and your family a HAPPY and SAFE DIWALI ❣️๐ŸŽ†
